This is an excellent book, but there are a couple of drawbacks. The first and most annoying, is the order of herbs with their scientific name. Makes it difficult to find the herb you’re looking for. Secondly, it is a great book, takes up much desk space and does not fit all estantes.Me served pretty well, but recently ran into her backyard herb garden: a gardener’s Guide to Growing Over 50 on how to use herbs in cooking, crafts, and planting more than companion and I must say that this is the book that gathered in his place, in retrospect. I might even buy it anyway. It’s small, has all the information referenced in this (and more) and more readily available. Rating: 4 / 5
If you want to know ‘nothing’ about herbs and how to grow, this is the book for you. This book has great color photos of many different herbs, how to use each part of the root, stem, leaves, flowers. It shows different images of different “types” of every plant, for example, did you know that more than one kind of lavender? This book proves every type and description of each and provides detailed instructions on how to grow. This book also has great recipes potporri, garden designs, weather, climate, tradition and history of herbs, medicinal uses, drying tips, ideas crown. . . anything, the book ha. Rating: 5 / 5
Great book that gives you every bit of information you need about herbs. If you want to grow your own herbs is a must have book. You answered all questions, including visual identification is because there are large pictures for each herb. The entire book is printed on high quality glossy paper, and you can bet it will last a long time, this book is not a pocket lighter. Rating: 5 / 5
