I Need A Recipe For Lime And Ginger Ice Cream?

Ages ago I saw an episode of ‘Rachel’s Favourite Food’ where she did ‘Lime & Ginger Ice Cream’. I have checked out her website which is completely useless. And the UKTV food which hasnt got all her recipes on.
Did anyone see it? Any one know how to make ice cream in general? I am not great at baking or following recipes exactly. So the simpilest would be great.
No rubbish answers please.

1/2 cup drained preserved ginger in syrup, very finely chopped
2 tablespoons syrup from ginger jar
juice from two limes
1 quart vanilla ice cream
Directions:
Combine the chopped ginger with the ginger syrup and juice from two limes. Soften the ice cream and quickly stir the ginger mixture and lime mixture into it. Pack the mixture in plastic containers, cover, and freeze until firm.

Lemon or Lime Ginger Ice Cream
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
2 tablespoons lemon extract, juice or lime juice
2 cups half-and-half cream
2 cups whipping cream, unwhipped
1/4 cup crystallized ginger, chopped
Combine all ingredients well.
Place in an ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Buy some ice cream, add a little ginger and a little of lime…. hey presto!
